Public and environment program 

The mission of the Public and Environment Program and of the Centre for the Support of Public, which acts under Arnika, is to help the people who want to participate in the decision making processes regarding the environment in the area where they are living. Our work includes the help with the law awareness and with the participation in the administrative processes, help with specific problems and with publicity of the cases. We also organize seminars and continuously publish educational manuals.

The main campaigns of the program

• Prague - The Natural Park Košíře-Motol - we help local people with the preservation of the smallest park located in Prague which is endangered by construction of new residences.
• Public against the D3 Motorway (d3.arnika.org)- in cooperation with the local municipalities we try to push through such a route for D3 motorway (Prague - Tábor - České Budějovice - Austrian borders) which would be acceptable from the environmental point of view and for the lives of the little municipalities citizens.
• Aarhus Agreement - Arnika aims at the practical fulfillment of this agreement (Agreement about the Access to Information, Participation of Public in the Decision Making Processes and about the Access to the Legal Protection in the Environmental Matters) in the Czech Republic.
