Who we areArnika was established at the end of September 2001 by a part of activists working formerly with Children of the Earth. Arnika is an environmental NGO - a civic association in accordance with the Czech law. Arnika's mission is the improvement of environment by the means of preventing its toxic pollution and restoration of the landscape natural values in the Czech country, also in European context. Arnika deals mainly with the marsh and river protection, environment pollution and support of the public participation in the environment decision making processes. The mission and goals have been achieved through projects and campaigns and thanks to the international and cross-border cooperation with other NGOs. (IPEN - International POPs Elimination Network, HCWH - Health Care Without Harm, Grűne Liga, ERN - European Rivers Network, etc.) Arnika is a nationwide NGO with the central office based in Prague and locally and on the topic oriented branches. Arnika aspires to have a wide membership base. Anybody who is interested in the environment protection can join: either as a volunteer or as a financial supporter.
