Bc. Michaela Babišová- campaign assistant Praha - město pro život

She came to Arnika at the end of 2019. She is currently completing a master's degree in Social and cultural ecology at the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University. She pursues the question of the role of institutions in times of climate crisis. In Arnika, she works on Prague related topics at the Center for Citizens’ Support, where she takes care of the administrative affairs of projects, helps with the organization of seminars and the publication process.

Mgr. Karolína Brabcová- expert on toxic substances in consumer goods

He leads consumer campaigns focused on toxic substances in goods on the Czech market. He is working on European legislation on the restriction of chemicals in products. He participates in the organization of product analyzes for the content of phthalates, brominated flame retardants and other toxic substances in the Czech Republic and in Europe.

Ing. Milan Havel- waste specialist, eco-consultant

Since the establishment of Arnika, he deals with the issue of waste and toxic substances within the Toxics and Waste programme. Milan Havel is a mechanical engineer (CTU) by training, but a few years ago he decided to leave the job of a water treatment designer and focus only on ecology.

Mgr. Martin Holzknecht- communication of foreign projects and PR

He joined Arnika in August 2017. He deals with media coverage and presentation of everything related to the organization's activities abroad. In particular, he is in charge of international projects - in Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Thailand and Ukraine. He previously worked at Czech Television, studied journalism at Charles University with a focus on political and civic journalism.

Ing. Miroslava Jopková - “Voda živá” competition coordinator

She started her first work experience with Arnika in May 2006 at the branch in Ostrava. After graduating from the Business Academy in Karviná, inspired by the stories of Joy and George Adamson and pictures from warm regions, she decided to study at the Institute of Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture in Prague.

Ing. Jiří Kaňa- press spokesperson

He has been working as a press spokesperson in Arnika since August 2017. He writes press releases, organizes conferences, negotiates with journalists and is responsible for ensuring that Arnika's work is as visible as possible in the media. He studied business law and media communication at the University of Economics in Prague.

Ing. Vlastimil karlík- nature conservation expert

He co-founded Arnika in 2001 and acted as its chairman from 2001-2004. He returned to Arnika in 2010 after several years abroad. He works in the Nature Conservation Programme, mainly representing Arnika in the Coalition of NGOs for Natura 2000 and the Rivers Coalition.

Ing. Lucie Kerbachová- economist and financial manager

She has been working at Arnika since April 2012. She keeps accounts and takes care of other related matters for the coordination center, the Nature Conservation Programme and the Center for Citizens’ Support. She graduated with a master's degree from the University of Economics in Prague.

RNDr. Marcela Klemensová- nature conservation specialist, leader of the Save the Trees! campaign

She was brought to Arnika by a news about the establishment of a new branch in Havířov, where she has lived since she was born. Since 2012, she has been helping as a volunteer in solving local issues. Since 2013, he has been coordinating projects and activities aimed at protecting trees and alleys. She cooperates with the Arnika Nature Conservation Programme to addresslocal cases.

Mgr. Karolína Kostićová- “Alej roku” survey and summer bike ride”Tour de Aleje” coordinator 

She has been working in Arnika since 2018 and within the Center for Citizens’ Support, she cooperates on activities to save the Czech and Moravian alleys. She takes care of the running of "tree projects" from corporate fundraising, through PR projects, to communication with the public. She graduated from the Faculty of Education at Charles University.

Bc. Miriam Macurová- Assistant of foreign projects of the Center for Citizens’ Support

She studied Environmental Studies and International Relations at Masaryk University in Brno and is currently studying ecology at the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University. She is primarily interested in nature conservation in an international context. In Arnika, that she joined in 2020, she works as an assistant to foreign projects of the Center for Citizens’ Support. She is mainly engaged in administrative activities for securing foreign projects.

Mgr. Václav Orcígr- campaign manager Praha - město pro život

He studied sociology at Masaryk University in Brno and within his follow-up studies at Charles University in Prague, where he continues with a focus on urban sociology in postgraduate studies, also works as a teacher. He specializes in neoliberal urban development and the concept of the right to the city. He joined Arnika in 2015, during 2017 he coordinated projects in Ukraine.

Sarah Ožanová- project coordinator of the Toxics and Waste programme

She has been working in Arnika since 2019. She works on various projects within the Toxics and Waste programme. She mostly deals with topics such as waste management and the occurrence of toxic substances in the environment and in consumer goods. She studied sociology and social anthropology at Charles University.

RNDr. Jindřich Petrlík- Head of the Toxics and Waste Programme and Chairman of the Arnika Association

In September 2001, he was one of the founders of Arnika. He first managed the Citizens' Support Center. Since January 2002, he has been working as the head of the Toxics and Waste programme. He led the Future without Poisons campaign from its launch in 2001 until 2011. He was a chairman of Arnika from 2005 to 2007 and from 2012 to 2017.

Lenka Petrlíková Mašková- programme financial manager
She is currently leading the financial agenda of the Toxics and Waste programme. She is one of the founding members of Arnika. From 2001 to 2003 she worked as the executive director of Arnika, from 2005 to 2007 she managed the Arnika Coordination Center and kept financial records for several Arnika entities. Since 2008 she has been the financial manager of the Toxics and Waste programme.

Ing. Mária Podracká- office assistant and volunteer coordinator

She has been working in Arnika, that she joined after successfully completing her studies in Environmental Management at the University of Zvolen, in summer 2017.She works as an assistant to the coordination center, volunteer coordinator and coordinates events of the Nature Conservation projects.

Kamil Repeš- head of the branch office in Děčín
He has been working in Arnika since its establishment in 2001. He is currently the head of the branch office in Děčín, as well as an assistant in all three Arnika programmes. He significantly participated in the activities of the Living Elbe campaign, which aims to preserve an important Elbe locality from damage caused by the weir constructions.

Bc. Sámir Shanaáh- individual fundraising coordinator

It fulfils him his whole life to help and make people around him happy. Beginnings in NGO were initiated by an interview with an telefundraiser from Amnesty International after he started donating. Despite volunteering in AI, he got a job as a telefundraiser and he was already on his track: "It's good to excel at something, but it's even better to play your part in something good."

Mgr. Štefánia Simonová- donor care assistant

She studied social and cultural ecology at the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University. She is partially engaged in lecturing in a forest nursery near Prague and has been working as a donor care assistant in Arnika since June 2019. Her job is primarily to communicate with existing donors.

Martin Skalský- Head of the Center for Citizens’ Support, an expert on public involvement in decision-making processes

In 2001, he was one of the founders of Arnika. Since 1997, he has been involved in the activities of the Center for Citizens’ Support; he has been leading it since 2000. He focuses on public participation in decision-making and organizes campaigns for a better environment. He is interested in the countries of the former Soviet Union and coordinates Arnika's projects there.

Mgr. Jitka Straková- head of the branch office in České Budějovice

She started in Arnika as a volunteer, today she coordinates projects of the Toxics and Waste programme, manages the České Budějovice branch office and coordinates the secretariat of the IPEN Working Group for dioxin. She is continuing her doctoral studies in landscape ecology at the Faculty of Science in České Budějovice.

Mgr. Ján Šamánek- coordinator of foreign activities - Toxics and waste programme

He has been working at Arnika since 2008. He is mainly involved in the management of the IPEN Working Group for Heavy Metals, the coordination of the IPEN Regional Coordination Center and other international activities. He completed a master's degree in sociology at Charles University, where he now studies postgraduate and acts as a teacher.

Mgr. vendula Šmoldasová- project LIFE Ochrana páchníka hnědého v EVL Poodří coordinator

She graduated from the Faculty of Science of Palacký University in Olomouc, majoring in biology - geology and environmental protection. She has been working in Arnika since 2018 as the coordinator of the LIFE Ochrana páchníka hnědého v EVL Poodří project, where she focuses mainly on events for the public.

Zuzana Vachůnová- projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina coordinator

She started working in the environment of ecological non-profit organizations right after graduating from university where she studied chemistry and environmental humanities. She started as a volunteer in Veronica, Brno, and for the last two years she worked for the Association of Ecological Organizations Zelený kruh. In Arnika since August 2016, she has been in charge of the foreign activities of the Center for Citizens’ Support.

Martina Valašková- Assistant of the Save the Trees Campaign

She has been working in Arnika since August 2018. Within the Center for Citizens’ Support, she is part of a team that deals with the alleys protection. She mainly deals with administrative activities in projects, the smooth running of conferences and other activities. She helps organize and plan the Tour de Aleje.

Ing. Jana Vitnerová- Head of the Nature Conservation Programme

Since June 2006, she has worked at the Jihlava branch office of Arnika. She helped to establish the first advisory point of the Center for Citizens’ Support in the Vysočina Region. Se is currently the head of the Nature Conservation Programme.

Kristína Žulkovská- Assistant of the Toxics and Waste Programme

Her love for nature led her to study environmental studies at the University of Banská Bystrica and Masaryk University in Brno. She has been working at Arnika since the beginning of 2018, when she took up the position of an assistant to the Toxics and Waste programme. In the programme, she focuses on administrative activities for securing projects.
